3. ✅ Updated Generator for Future Harvests

Modified generate_owner_dataset_notes.py to:

  • Load discard-manifest.json at startup
  • Skip any record with sgis_id in excluded_from_dataset_generation list
  • Ensures discarded datasets are never reintroduced in future geodata_full.json harvests

4. ✅ Reconciled New Leaves to Datasets

Ran comprehensive leaf-to-dataset matching:

  • New leaf count: 52 (46 original + 6 new)
  • Total realisations: 238 (197 original + 41 new)
  • Matched: 178 realisations to concrete datasets
  • Unmatched: 60 realisations (22% - candidates for manual curation)

The generator script now automatically excludes 493 sgis_ids from dataset note generation:

Still unmatched: 1,132 datasets (60 realisation gaps remain)

Suggested next steps (human review):

  1. Manual curation of 60 unmatched realisations:

    • Review keywords in new leaf definitions
    • Check if realisation titles need fuzzy-matching tuning
    • Mark as “external” or “non-Danish” if applicable
  2. Expand synonym tables for emerging keywords:

    • “vp13”, “vp2b”, “np3” - water plan dataset prefixes
    • “plandk” - planning registry terms
    • Consider bilingual expansion for better matching
  3. Categorize remaining 1,132 unmatched datasets:

    • Research “unknown” owner category (445 datasets)
    • Identify if any new leaf themes emerge
    • Propose Tier 3 leaves if patterns warrant
  4. Greenland scope decision:

    • If future decision is to include Greenland data, remove from discard list
    • Update generator to allow Greenland sgis_ids

Validation Checklist
