Merge vector layers — Tool (QGIS)

In QGIS: Processing Toolbox › Vector general › Merge vector layers (native:mergevectorlayers); menu: Vector › Data Management Tools › Merge Vector Layers.

Settings that matter

• Destination CRS reprojects layers that are in another system.
• The output gets the fields layer and path, saying where each feature came from.

Watch out

• All layers must have the same geometry type: buffer lines into polygons before merging them with polygons.
• Fields with the same name but different types can make the merge fail; keep only the fields you need first (Retain fields).
