Leaf: Nature Protection Areas Dataset: Beskyttede naturtyper
The register of habitats protected by § 3 of the Danish Nature Protection Act (naturbeskyttelsesloven): heaths, dry grasslands, bogs and fens, meadows, salt marshes and lakes above the size limits of the act. The municipalities register and maintain the areas; Danmarks Miljøportal publishes them. The register is live: about 320,000 areas, edited every day.
The protection applies to the habitat type, not to the polygon: an area that meets the criteria is protected even if it is not (yet) in the register. The register is indicative (“vejledende”).
Subsets
Every area carries its habitat type in Natyp_navn. The subsets below are the same dataset, filtered: a heath layer is the register with Natyp_navn = 'Hede', nothing more. Layers elsewhere with names like Kategori 2 heder og overdrev are not subsets: they are selections made with further rules (size, location relative to Natura 2000, a fixed date) and are described as derived data.

Natyp_navn habitat type (Hede, Overdrev, Mose, Eng, Strandeng, Sø)
Systid_fra when this version of the area was registered
Subsets by Natyp_navn: Hede (heath) · Overdrev (dry grassland) · Mose (bog and fen) · Eng (meadow) · Strandeng (salt marsh) · Sø (lake and pond).
Each is this dataset filtered on Natyp_navn, not a separate dataset. In QGIS they are under Subsets by Natyp_navn in the SemanticGIS panel.
