INSPIRE Definition: Vulnerable areas characterised by natural hazards (atmospheric, hydrological, seismic, volcanic, wildfire).
SPHERE Mapping
A key thread theme. The hazards originate in physical spheres (Geosphere earthquakes and landslides, Hydrosphere flooding, Atmosphere storms). The risk — combining hazard with human vulnerability and exposure — is Anthroposphere.
Primary sphere: Anthroposphere Subsphere(s): anthroposphere_hazard_vulnerability_risk
Cross-Domain Connections (Threads)
This theme bridges multiple SPHERE domains:
- Primary: Anthroposphere
- Thread → Geosphere
- Thread → Hydrosphere
- Thread → Atmosphere
