Leaf: Statistical Units Dataset: Københavns Kommune’s statistical divisions, prepared for joining tables from Københavns Kommunes Statistikbank
Københavns Kommune publishes its statistics for four nested sets of areas. No public source offers their boundaries with the codes the statistics bank uses, so SemanticGIS publishes them here: one GeoPackage per level, in EPSG:25832, with the code column first.
| Level | Areas | File | Code column | Codes in the statistics bank |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bydele (districts) | 10 | kk_bydel.gpkg | bydel_nr_text | 1001–1010 |
| Lokaludvalg (local committees) | 12 | kk_lokaludvalg.gpkg | lokaludvalg_nr_text | 2001–2012 |
| Kvarterer (quarters) | 67 | kk_kvarter.gpkg | kvarter_nr_text | 20101–21211 |
| Roder | 400 | kk_rode.gpkg | rode_nr_text | 001–400 |
Each file has <level>_nr (the code as a number) and <level>_nr_text (the code as text, exactly as the statistics bank writes it, so 001 for rode 1), then navn and the municipality’s own attributes.
Joining a table from the statistics bank
Export a table with codes (e.g. KKBOL4 by rode, KKBEF8 by district, committee and quarter), open it in QGIS and choose Join a table to reference units… in the SemanticGIS panel. The level is found from the codes. Some tables list several levels in one column (KKBEF8 has 10 districts, 12 committees and 67 quarters): the plugin then offers each level, and each join takes only its own rows. Rows such as 1000 (all of Copenhagen) and Uden for inddeling (not in any area) have no polygon.
Things to know
- Snapshot. The boundaries were taken from Københavns Kommune’s WFS (
wfs-kbhkort.kk.dk/k101) on 22 October 2026. Districts and quarters change rarely, but they do change; a statistics table for an earlier year may use earlier boundaries. - Local committees are numbered differently at the source. The WFS numbers Christianshavn 1 and Indre By 2; the statistics bank uses
2001for Indre By and2002for Christianshavn. The files use the statistics bank’s codes; the WFS’s own number is kept aslokaludvalg_nr_kk. The bank also writes Kgs. Enghave for Kongens Enghave. - Licence and credit. The data comes from Københavns Kommune under CC BY (published on opendata.dk). Credit it on maps, e.g. Indeholder data fra Københavns Kommune, roder, hentet 22.10.2026. The same line is stored in each file’s metadata.
